  
Tall Club of Toronto what's it all about? How does it
work?
What we do is have fun. This is a TALL social club, so every type of activity that is of
interest to members is a possibility. Many simply are interested in TALL friends to do things within a group, while some want
to meet a significant TALL other - it's all up to you. Often members like to wine and dine, some like to ride bicycles, some
like Happy Hours, some prefer small parties, others enjoy hiking in the forest, or maybe a dance on Saturday night.
We will never twist your arm to do anything but we hope that you will frequently
participate as you develop your new circle of TALL friends.
Tall Members suggest activities and we do them.
Activities are sent via E-mail. All members are encouraged to assist in
the planning of two-three tall club functions each year. Typically it can be very easy. For example, you enjoyed a good
restaurant recently, want to rock climb, do some dancing ... whatever. Great! Contact the president, suggest it, plan a date
and it will be emailed to everyone!
All events are suggested by members.
We have a good mix of tall men and tall women, of all ages (345 on our
email list).
There are often weekend activities in different cities across North America, sponsored by the local club. They are two or three days each, summer and winter.
TALL people from all over the world go to these "Weekend" events, and often hundreds attend - Fantastic!
That brings us to: Who does what.
There is a tall Executive Committee
but, of course, they are just regular members, like you, who offer
their help. They become good friends and get to suggest how things work, but it is obvious that participation of all members is welcome and essential
if the club is to remain vibrant. The site lists the offices and officers, but demands in people's lives change, so we always have an interest in
the next Editor, or VP, or Secretary, or PR Person, etc. You get the idea; the Executive changes periodically. If nobody volunteers to do it, "it"
won't happen. Don't want a "Title" but want to help? Terrific! Just let us know.
The points represent a simple overview, but there is more to the club. Like anything else in life, you will get out of this club equal to the contribution you make to it. Luckily this is not a difficult task, but an enjoyable one. We're the same as everyone else. The
most active members have the most fun. You will benefit by joining us, making new friends, ... and perhaps your significant other.
